Give a man a fish and he has food for a day; teach him how to fish and you can get rid of him for the entire weekend

Part Two:

Question:

Do you have to actually catch fish to be called a fisherman, and is it simply enough to stand over a small hole on a frozen lake holding a short stick and freezing your nuts off? Or, are you more of a fisherman if you don't outwit an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb and just lie about it later?

The act of fishing refers not to the actual catching of the fish, but the process by which this can occur.

So in my view, simply setting out to catch a fish encompasses the definition of the word "fisherman" - or "fisherperson" in today's politically-correct climate.

The frozen-nuts part merely seals the deal, so to speak.

As soon as you spend $4.00 on a little sparkly bit of plastic in hopes that it will somehow make a difference to an organism with a brain no bigger than a breadcrumb when you could have bought twice as much cleaned and ready to eat fish at the market with that $4.00, then you are a man of the fish...a fisher man.

Hello fellow fisherman,

Did you know that 16% of the U.S. population goes fishing at least 16 days a year?

Did you also know that over 75% of the nations fishermen do not fish during "prime time"; fish feeding hours?

Those precious few moments before twilight can be absolutely magical. Even up until 11pm at night, the largest predators of any species feed ravenously.

Don't believe me? Check out Daniel Eggertsen's story, and a picture of a couple of his catches here : "Evening Secrets plus more"

I want you to do me a favor and try it out so I can see what you think of it, and if it works for you as well as it did for me.

You will be one of the first to try it out.

Gone Fishin',

Neil
